Kale Chips

Posted on March 3, 2011. Filed under: Uncategorized |

I had heard about these delightful treats a while back, but paid them no mind until Cathy Savage talked about them on one of her calls.  Now I realize that I’ve wasted a good year or so of my life NOT eating these things!!  Oh man…  Here’s the recipe so you can stop wasting your life without these babies!!

Ingredients:

Kale

Olive oil cooking spray

Sea salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375*

Tear the leaves off the thick stems into bite size pieces.

Spread out on cookie sheets.

Spray with olive oil cooking spray.

Sprinkle with parmesan, sea salt or your seasonings of choice.

Bake for about 15 minutes, until edges are brown and kale is crispy when moved in pan.

They will be crunchy and when you bite them they should sound like walking through leaves in the fall.

I keep wanting to try them, but I chicken out. Maybe I will have to pick up some kale when I go grocery shopping again.

Lexi,

I felt the same way.. I thought they’d be a pain and I had no idea! They’re so simple I laugh at myself now for how long I have been avoiding them.

awesome! Now I see what they look like. I’ll have to try them sometime!

I’ve tried this with garlic powder. Fabulous.
