GISG Approved Superbowl Snacks

Here’s a list of great foods you can easily bring to a party or make for your own family and friends coming over to watch the big game!

These are all Get In Shape Girl approved, meaning they are lower in sugar, carbs, fat and calories than the traditional versions.  They might not be “Shred approved” but you won’t feel like you have completely ruined your diet if you splurge on these.

Some are easier to carry than others, so be mindful of that when deciding what you want to make or bring.

Home team:

  • Pulled pork sandwiches  – serve on whole wheat buns
  • Chili – I’m not about to give you my recipe, but made with lean ground beef or lean ground turkey, this is good for you!
  • Coconut & walnut encrusted chicken fingers
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Aussie onion
  • Taco night – Use whole wheat pitas as your shell; use lean ground beef or turkey or fish as your meat; use fat free sour cream & fat free cheese; then load up with lettuce, tomato, onion and hot sauce.
