Then & Now

I was inspired by reading Tosca Reno’s blog to do a “Then & Now” blog.  For those of you who have read my “About” section or know me, know that I used to be heavier, didn’t workout, ate junk food all the time and was headed down an unhealthy path.  So I decided to think back 8 years ago and write a little “then & now.”

THEN.. I hated vegetables.  NOW.. I eat them 3 or more times a day.

THEN.. I weighed 160 pounds. NOW.. I’m in the 120’s.

THEN.. I couldn’t even run a quarter mile.  NOW.. I can say I’ve run a half marathon & I’m training for another.

THEN.. I would eat a large bag of chips in one sitting.  NOW.. I limit all my portions.

THEN.. I was terribly insecure.  NOW.. I love myself and my body for everything it’s capable of.

THEN.. I thought sweating was gross. NOW.. I’m typing this in my sweaty sports bra I wore to hot yoga.

THEN.. I would walk down the street to get a cheese calzone for myself.  NOW.. I will walk down the street for an egg white & feta omelete.

THEN.. I would stand in the mirror and put on lots of make up & fix my hair perfectly to look my best.  NOW.. I spend an hour in the gym & throw my hair in a pony and know I’m in great shape.

THEN.. you couldn’t have paid me to exercise.  NOW.. I’m actually getting paid to help others exercise!!!

ok Kyra what do i need to do to get my bootylicious junk in the trunk to fit into my apple bottom jeans in two weeks… HOOK it up cuz this dumper is going to need a tow truck soon if i don’t get this thing up on a lift… yah huuurrrd!
